Two new 3α-aminospirosolane steroidal alkaloids, (22 S,25 S )- and (22 R,25 R )-3α-aminospirosol-5-ene ( 2 ) and ( 3 ), respectively, were isolated from the alkaloid fraction of the MeOH extract of the aerial parts of Solanum triste . Their structures were elucidated utilizing 1D and 2D NMR techniques and mass spectroscopy.
