High-quality copper sulfide (Cu2-xS) nanocrystals (NCs) with controllable shapes and sizes are synthesized. The synthesis of CuS nanoplates, Cu1.12S nanotetrahedras, Cu1.8S nanocubes, as well as the aspect ratio (AR) of CuS nanoplates from 3.4 to 2.4 is demonstrated. These NCs, particularly the 11 nm CuS nanoplates with AR of 3.4, are active catalysts for electrochemical reduction of H2O2.
