This article was adapted from a presentation by Ms. Carter and Dr. Winseman for a conference entitled: “The Escalating Use of Medications by College Students: What Are They Telling Us, What Are We Telling Them?” Bennington College and The Erikson Institute at The Austen Riggs Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts hosted the conference on September 7, 2002.
