Abstract

All articles of this category Alkyl 3-alkoxy-4-bromocarboxylates are prepared by the Lewis acid-catalyzed reaction of α-bromoaldehyde acetals with ketene. Base-catalyzed cyclization of these intermediates affords 2-alkoxycyclopropanecarboxylic esters.
