Heptakis(2,3-di-O-acetylated)-β-cyclodextrin was tested for its utilizability to check the enantiomeric purity of the chiral protonated phenethylamines, such as selegiline, amphetamine and norephedrine, by means of NMR spectroscopy. For all compounds, the method turned out to be a powerful and rapid tool, which should be considered more frequently in drug analysis.
