Introduction The preventive treatment of neoplastic lesions in the colon in FAP involves a colectomy restoring continuity in two ways: ileo-anal anastomosis (IAA) or ileo-rectal anastomosis. The risk of cancer remains for the rest of the digestive tract. Endoscopy is one method of investigating these lesions and in some cases can also be used for their treatment. Generally speaking, if there is any difficulty in implementing the endoscopic procedure or in interpreting the histology results, the opinion of an experienced team should be sought.
