A sympatric species,Orius albidipennis(Reut.) was also attacking the pest.Wollastoniella gattisp. n., a predator of tetranychid mites on ornamental species ofSolanum, is also described from the male and immature examples from Kenya.O. amnesiusresemblesO. albidipennisand several other economically important and widely distributed species ofOriusfound in Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
