Precipitation of Ni3Si in undersaturated NiSi solid solutions is shown to be triggered by high-energy electron irradiations at very low displacement rates. The results are compared to those previously obtained under high-flux irradiations. A simple interpretation is proposed for the temperature shift of the dose rate threshold for radiation-induced precipitation in this system.
