In order to solve the wind curtailment problem during the heating period in winter in North China, through the heat storage device installed at the power supply side decoupling the ‘electrothermal coupling’ characteristics of the thermoelectric unit and using the minimum coal consumption cost of the system and the minimum wind curtailment power as the fitness function, the multi‐objectives combined electric heating dispatch model of wind power accommodation with thermoelectric unit, thermal power unit, wind power unit and heat storage device were established. Then the improved multi‐objective particle swarm optimisation algorithm was applied to test the example. Through the simulation results, the wind power accommodation and its power output with the traditional heating model and contained heat storage device model were compared, and the optimal pareto solution set and the compromise solution were obtained. Finally, the effect of the heat storage rate and heat storage capacity of heat storage device were researched for the grid‐connected wind power and the limit heat storage rate and heat storage capacity under the wind power accommodation were gained completely.
