A direct modulation mixer-less V-band radio transmitter architecture together with some key performance metrics is presented. The transmit assembly is designed to cover the frequency band allocation for the forthcoming 57–65 GHz broadband wireless communication system. The system is capable of operating with up to 1 Gbps signal rate and can produce binary/quadrature phase shift keying (BPSK/QPSK) and offset-QPSK (OQPSK) modulation.
