G ranulomatous mastitis, a rare chronic inflamma- tory disease of the breast, may occasionally mimic carcinoma.A 41-year-old woman was referred to our radiology department with a tender right breast lump.Clinical examination revealed a poorly defined, hard, and mobile mass in the upper outer quadrant. The patient was evaluated with mammography, sonography, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (Figs.1±5).According to the radiologic findings, the mass was considered to be malignant. An excisional biopsy revealed granulomatous mastitis.
