Rhythmia with Lumipoint algorithm enables precise accessory pathway localization for successful redo AVRT ablation.
Why the study?
Anatomical location and activation characteristics of accessory pathways can influence ablation failure and arrhythmia recurrence in AVRT, motivating improved mapping strategies for redo ablation.

May expedite accessory pathway localization in redo AVRT; leaves open need for prospective validation.
Atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT) is an integral part of the circuit for accessory pathways (APs), whose anatomical location and activation characteristics can influence ablation failure and arrhythmia recurrence. This manuscript describes a case of redo AVRT performed using the Rhythmia™ mapping system, while the index procedure was mapped through the CARTO 3™ system. The use of the automated Lumipoint™ algorithm, an innovative tool provided by Rhythmia™, allowed more rapid and precise identification of the AP location, leading to a successful ablation procedure.

Loricchio et al. (2023) conducted a case report in Atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT) (n=1). Rhythmia mapping system with Lumipoint algorithm vs. CARTO 3 system (index procedure) was evaluated on Successful ablation procedure. The use of the Rhythmia mapping system with the automated Lumipoint algorithm allowed rapid and precise identification of the accessory pathway location, leading to a successful redo AVRT ablation.
