Forage Production of Red Clover and Alfalfa Under Differential Cutting1

Synopsis Red clover produced yields equal to alfalfa only when harvested under the conservative 2‐cutting schedule. Alfalfa yields were highest with 3 harvests at early bloom. Autumnal yields were small, and early October cutting reduced subsequent yields and stands.
