We analyze the dependence of the asymptotic behavior of solutions which tend to zero of the differential-difference equation $y'(t) = ay(t) + by(t - T)$ on the delay T. We show that if $b < 0$, the rate at which solutions tend to zero increases for small T, but decreases for larger T.
