Variations in the branching pattern of the external carotid artery (ECA) are of considerable anatomical and clinical importance.During routine cadaveric dissection, a unilateral common trunk for the lingual and facial artery (FA) was observed arising from the ECA.This variation, known as the linguofacial trunk (LFT), is relevant in surgical, radiological, and reconstructive procedures involving the head and neck. The present case report describes the anatomical findings and emphasizes their clinical implications.
