The results of recent relativistic calculations of Huang et al. (1979, 1980) for spin polarisation of photoelectrons ejected from outer subshells of Ar and Xe are compared with non-relativistic results. It is shown that in most cases the non-relativistic theory is capable of describing the polarisation phenomena.
