The meta-antimonates, MSb 2 O 6 , M=Ca, Sr and Ba, have been prepared, and their crystal structures refined from powder X-ray diffraction data. The interatomic distances have been determined to reasonable accuracy and the preferred space group was found to be P31m, not the previously identified P312 (a subgroup of P31m). These and other isomorphous AB 2 X 6 , materials are now identified as belonging to the Li 2 ZrF 6 (or better, PbSb 2 O 6 ) structure type.
