Extract Asthma exacerbations remain a major cause of healthcare resource utilization, morbidity and expenditure worldwide. Uncontrolled asthma with type 2 (T2) airway inflammation is characterised by elevated blood eosinophils and/or fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO), and increased exacerbation risk [1]. Although approved biologics targeting T2 pathways are effective maintenance therapies, their clinical benefit has generally been evaluated across weeks rather than hours after initiation. Consequently, there is an unmet need for fast-acting biologic therapies for acute emergencies.
