The dermatological condition known as lichen simplex chronicus (LSC) is exceedingly pruritic and impairs the patient's quality of life (QoL). It is characterized by skin lichenification that occurs after persistent scratching. A case of an 18-year-old female patient with LSC is presented here, who was successfully treated with individualized homeopathic medicine (i.e., Sulphur) during a 6-month period with no complications. Complete remission of complaints was observed with improved overall QoL, as measured by the Dermatology Life Quality Index. Photographic documentation was obtained at pre- and posttreatment intervals. Individual curative responses to homeopathic treatment were evaluated using the Modified Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy (MONARCH) inventory, which demonstrated a positive causal attribution to homeopathy. This case report illustrates favorable outcomes with individualized homeopathic treatment, demonstrating a significant improvement in patients' QoL in LSC. Hence, this case report could serve as a premise for future studies into the role of individualized homeopathic medicine in the treatment of LSC.
