Why the study?
Complete AV heart block diagnosis requires analysis and description of both atrial and ventricular rhythms, especially after pacemaker implantation to assess pacing site and ECG morphology.
Case Report (n=1)
A 12-lead ECG is mandatory after pacemaker implantation to confirm correct right ventricular lead placement, as an RBBB-like morphology and rightward axis indicate inadvertent left ventricular pacing.
The ECG shows complete heart block with AV dissociation, normal sinus rhythm and a paced ventricular rhythm.
