This working paper constructs a reproducible descriptive panel of artificial intelligence research across 25 purposively selected Indian institutions from 2015 through 2025. Using a frozen OpenAlex snapshot, ROR identifiers, and TypeSafe Jev decision-model classifications, the study identifies 14,714 accepted primary AI-relevant works from 41,172 unique records. Accepted AI-relevant output increased from 659 works in 2015 to 2,338 in 2025. The paper reports collaboration, concentration, source-drift, sensitivity, and internal calibration results while explicitly avoiding national-output, ranking, quality, capability, and causal claims.
