The reaction of 2‐methylene‐1,3‐dicarbonyl compounds 1 and nitrile oxides, which were prepared from hydroxymoyl chlorides 2 with triethylamine, gave 5,5‐disubstituted 2‐isoxazolines 3 regioselectively.
