Work-to-family enrichment, a desirable experience where individuals' work improves their performance in family roles, has attracted growing scholarly interest for its development and influence. Despite this interest, there is a lack of effective literature synthesis that helps illuminate the intellectual landscape of work-to-family enrichment, leaving our knowledge about the empirical development of this construct fragmented. Synthesizing findings from 96 journal articles, we provide organized insights into its theoretical foundations, measurements, and nomological network of antecedents, outcomes, and moderators. By integrating these insights, we propose a forward-looking agenda for future research to advance scholarly knowledge in this domain. Specifically, we call on researchers to introduce novel theoretical perspectives to explain how work-family enrichment develops and exerts influence. It is imperative to extend its nomological network by exploring underexamined elements such as individual traits, career outcomes, and potential negative pathways. We also call for the adoption of more rigorous research designs to capture causal dynamics within its nomological network. Furthermore, we advocate for leveraging methodologies grounded in generative AI and machine learning to uncover innovative insights that challenge or expand our understanding of work-family enrichment.
