High doses of 1, 25-dihydroxy[23,24(n)-3H]cholecalci1°erol ([3H]1,25(OH)2D3) with cold 1,25(OH)2D3 were administered intravenously to hypophosphatemic and normal mice. The chromatographic profiles of the plasma extracts 2 and ll h after the administration showed accelerated disappearance of l,25(OH)2D, in the hypophosphatemic mice.Chromatographic studies also showed that the increase of 1,24,25-(OH)3D3 production was almost the same between hypophosphatemic mice and normal controls. These data show that exogenous high doses of 1,25(OH)2D3 disappeared more rapidly in the hypophosphatemic mice than in the normal mice.
