On the basis of a new phase-shift solution as summarized in paper I, the 1D2 (2.17 GeV) diproton state is shown to be represented as a Breit-Wigner resonance at least in the pp elastic channel. Its resonance parameters are evaluated to give M≈2.17 GeV, Γ∼50-100 MeV and Γel/Γ∼0.1. A rounded cusp effect existing at the NΔ-threshold is taken into account. This leads to a level shift of the resonance mass of the order of 30 MeV. A variety of structures of experimental data is interpreted on the basis of the phase-shift results as suggesting the existence of 1D2 (2.17 GeV) diproton.
