Why the study?
Differentiating the mechanisms of narrow QRS tachycardias with long RP intervals and intermittent pauses is clinically challenging and important for appropriate management.
Case Report (n=1)
Detailed ECG analysis can differentiate mechanisms of long RP tachycardias, and oral propranolol can successfully restore sinus rhythm in focal automatic atrial tachycardia.
ANSWER OVERVIEW OF THE ECGThis is a narrow QRS tachycardia, with an average rate of 150 per minute and regular, apart from 2 gaps.A P wave is visible before the QRS that ends the gap.Aside from this, P waves are less easy to distinguish.
