In this study, we investigated the effects of polymerization conditions on the film thickness and electrical characteristics of phytic acid-doped poly(m-aminophenylboronic acid) (PA-PAPBA) films under neutral conditions for biosensing applications using an electrochemical method. In particular, polymerization parameters, such as monomer concentration and polymerization time, were varied. As the monomer concentration and the polymerization time increased, the film thickness increased, whereas the charge-transfer resistance of the PA-PAPBA films decreased. These findings indicate that polymerization conditions are important for controlling the thickness and charge-transfer characteristics of the PA-PAPBA films for biosensing.
