This study presents a simple controller that incorporates a voltage controller with a droop current sharing controller using in a parallel buck derived converter system. Firstly, a design procedure is deduced from output voltage droop characteristics and regulation specifications to determine the weighted voltage resistors of the controller. Furthermore, the output filter of the converter adapted a lower output inductance approach has the benefit of smaller parameter variations, and enables an effective pole placement design. Since the droop current sharing control inherently has the cross coupling effect, as observed in small signal analysis, this effect can minimise by designed voltage and droop current sharing controllers with the identical poles and zeros. Finally, simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller in a parallel interleaved dual-switch forward converter system.
