Travel time data of the Ssanggye-sa earthquake of July 1936 were analyzed to investigate crustal structure of the Korean Peninsula. A well defined Moho-discontinuity of Pn-velocity of about 7.7 km/sec was found. The crustal thickness appears to be about 35km and upper crustal P-and S-velocities appear to about 5.8 km/sec and 3.5 km/sec respectively. It is not clear if the crust is single-layered or multi-layered. This earth model may be used as a preliminary to one made by explosion seismology.
