Version 1.1 (Amendment 1) of the registered protocol for a policy-oriented scoping review of the medical laboratory workforce and diagnostic capacity in Cameroon, following Arksey and O'Malley, Levac et al. and JBI guidance, and reported per PRISMA-ScR. Amendment 1 was made on 8 October 2026, before any systematic searching, screening or data charting began. It adds a fourth coding category ("Partially challenges") to the High-Tech, Hollow-Core coding rule, corrects the PubMed search string, declares the review team's professional context and competing interests, adds provisions for co-authors to join by dated amendment with independent screening of a random 20% sample, and corrects wording in the Background. Eligibility criteria, the conceptual framework and the review questions are unchanged. The version 1.0 registration remains available. The OSF registration and its update history are linked below.
