This conceptual reflection paper examines the dynamism involved in sustaining a living and thriving personal brand. It considers how responsiveness, adaptability, and authenticity interact within the personal brand lifecycle. It argues that a living personal brand can evolve in response to changing circumstances while retaining continuity in its underlying identity, values, and authentic strengths. Distinguishing responsiveness from adaptability, the paper further considers authenticity as a boundary that enables dynamism without compromising the brand’s DNA. It proposes transparency, truthfulness, and continuous learning as three guiding principles through which authenticity may be considered within an evolving personal brand. This work is presented as early conceptual work intended to preserve and develop ideas for future scholarly inquiry.
