Two intermediate-coupling groups valid for both the nucleon and the hyperon isobars are suggested. For the nucleon isobars these reduce to the group SU(4). Predictions of these groups for the hyperon coupling-constant ratios and magnetic moments are obtained. It is found that, in general, the results are consistent with the static SU(6) theory.
