In its present state this model should be effective as an aid in analyzing and optimizing cure cycles for vulcanizing articles. It is clearly necessary to have accurate thermo-physical data when simulating the SOC in thick articles. Additional improvements could be realized by more careful treatment of the heat transmitted into the rubber through the blades.
