High-grade lymphoma with uveal involvement is a rare cancer with poor visual and survival prognosis. We describe our experience using intra-arterial melphalan to treat four eyes of three patients with this aggressive disease. After a median follow-up of 18 months, all four eyes remain tumour-free. From pre-intra-arterial to post-intra-arterial treatment, visual acuity improved in two eyes (pre: 20/150 and counting fingers, post: 20/20 and 20/25, respectively) and remained stable in two eyes (pre and post: light perception). Ophthalmic toxicities were mild and temporary. This report suggests that intra-arterial melphalan may be a safe and effective treatment for high-grade lymphoma with uveal involvement.
