The carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) miscible flooding is a key technology to enhance oil recovery and safely sequester carbon dioxide in the subsurface. It is well known that CO 2 usually transforms from a gaseous to a supercritical state in the underground, and the supercritical CO 2 (SC‐CO 2 ) is easier to cause corrosion and failure on packer rubber seals. It is significant to develop the novel rubber composites resistant to SC‐CO 2 corrosion in oil extraction and achieve the strategic goal of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). In this paper, triallyl isocyanurate (TAIC) as an assistant crosslinker and OMMT as a physical barrier agent were incorporated into the FKM composites. The effect of crosslinking density and OMMT on the corrosion resistance behavior was investigated. The results showed that during SC‐CO 2 corrosion, FKM composites with moderate crosslinking density exhibit superior corrosion resistance. Incorporating OMMT further enhances corrosion resistance and comprehensive mechanical properties. The anti‐corrosion coefficient of FKM composites increased from 10.67% to 84.47%. The corrosion mechanism of SC‐CO 2 on FKM is mainly physical swelling, penetration and destruction of the crosslinking network. This study provides a novel strategy for chemical crosslinking and physical crosslinking from organic montmorillonite improving SC‐CO 2 corrosion resistance behavior of fluororubber.
