The holotype of the Upper Permian gliding reptile Weigeltisaurus jaekeli is redescribed. Comparison with the Madagascan reptile Coelurosauravus shows that the two forms are congeneric. Coelurosauravus Piveteau, 1926 has priority. The Upper Permian genus Gracilisaurus Weigelt, 1930 is reviewed and referred to Coelurosauravus.
