Technology has influenced all aspects of human life, and the Halal industry, especially Halal logistics, is not an exception. This study aims to examine the role of Information Technology as a critical success factor in Halal logistics and its contribution to fostering innovation and value creation from 2010 to 2024 by providing a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of existing research. A total of 60 articles were systematically collected from Scopus and Google Scholar databases, with 57 articles retained after screening. Data obtained were analysed utilizing Microsoft Excel for descriptive analysis and VoSViewer for visualization of research trends, citation patterns, and keyword networks. Thus, the paper represents new development as scholars increasingly investigate critical success factors of Halal logistics by outlining enablers and barriers of information technology adoption in Halal logistics, supported by contemporary supply chain theories. The findings reveal that Information Technology enhances Halal logistics performance through multiple dimensions, particularly by fostering innovation and creativity, improving service quality, strengthening customer satisfaction, and enabling traceability and transparency systems. However, barriers such as limited digital understanding, high implementation costs, and inadequate infrastructure remain significant constraints to adoption. In conclusion, this study reveals the strategic importance of Information Technology in advancing Halal logistics performance and competitiveness. The results provide valuable insights for Halal Logistics Service Providers (HLSP), policymakers, and academicians to enhance service improvement, integration, and niche identification. Furthermore, the study contributes to the advancement of the Halal logistics research cluster by mapping current trends and identifying future research directions.
