This study offers a single-switch ultra-high step-up DC–DC converter based on the quadratic configuration. In the proposed topology, the quadratic structure is integrated with an auxiliary circuit employing a three-winding coupled inductor. The converter obtains an enhanced voltage gain while simultaneously decreasing the voltage stress imposed on the power switch by incorporating switched capacitor and voltage multiplier methods. As a result, a low on-resistance switch can be utilized, which significantly improves the overall efficiency of the converter. A shared ground between the source and output sides is another notable feature of the proposed converter, enhancing its suitability for a wide range of practical applications. Comparative evaluations demonstrate that, relative to conventional DC–DC boost converters, the proposed design attains a superior voltage conversion ratio. Additionally, it requires a smaller input inductance to supply the load with minimal input current ripple, which contributes to lower power losses. Experimental results obtained from a 200 W laboratory-scale hardware implementation with a 25 V input and a 400 V output validate the effectiveness and performance of the suggested topology.
