This thesis develops a methodology for representing dry-friction sliding seismic isolators in numerical models of buildings and verifying the reliability of the resulting calculations. A set of comparison criteria is systematized for buildings with a fixed-base foundation (M1), a flat sliding bearing (M2), and a single-curvature friction pendulum bearing (M3). The dynamic equilibrium equation, Coulomb friction, and the restoring force of the curved-surface bearing are presented using a consistent system of notation. A K0–K3 verification sequence is proposed for static equilibrium, time integration, force–displacement hysteresis, and energy balance. As a result, a methodological framework is established to support consistent modeling and comparison of dynamic responses in the OpenSeesPy environment; numerical performance indicators based on real earthquake records are not presented in this study.
