We present a genome assembly from an individual female Coccinella magnifica (Scarce Seven-spot Ladybird; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Coccinellidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 498.77 megabases and 558.91 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (85.36%) was scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 19.5 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
