Subramaniam et al. (2019) conducted a case-control in Cardiovascular disease risk in siblings of women with PCOS (n=152). Sibling of a woman with PCOS vs. Age, sex, and BMI-matched controls was evaluated on Brachial artery flow-mediated dilatation (FMD) in brothers (p=0.002). Compared to matched controls, being a sibling of a woman with PCOS was associated with significantly reduced flow-mediated dilatation in both brothers (12.3% vs 18.4%) and sisters (10.8% vs 14.7%).
