Vandalism is a crucial issue for city park managers. Previous research has focused on macro-security controls in environmental areas to prevent vandalism. The lack of micro-control studies on functional facility products makes this an interesting topic for our research. Research Objectives: This study attempts to analyze the micro and macro control factors of park facilities on visitor vandalism. Semi-structured qualitative interviews were conducted with visitors and managers of paid and free city parks. The results indicate a perceived correlation between visitor vandalism intentions and micro and macro facility factors. Another interesting finding is the existence of other factors perceived to be associated with vandalism intentions. This study provides more comprehensive insights into how park facility management addresses activity disruptions that lead to vandalism. This research can serve as a guide for park managers in developing better services and policies for their consumers.
