Digital screens have become part of everyday life, supporting education, communication, entertainment and access to health information. At the same time, prolonged or poorly timed screen exposure may displace sleep, physical activity, faceto-face interaction and other behaviours that protect health. This narrative review discusses screen exposure as a potentially modifiable risk factor, with particular attention to children and adolescents. Evidence is considered across sleep, physical activity and weight-related outcomes, vision and posture, and psychosocial well-being.
