This paper develops a hypothesis concerning the relationship between human cognition, technological expansion, systemic instability and external structures for preserving information across time. It examines bounded rationality, cumulative cultural evolution, cultural niche construction, extended and distributed cognition, complex-system self-organization, digital preservation and information provenance. These fields provide established concepts for analysing components of the problem, but do not establish that humanity constitutes a transitional evolutionary phase. That stronger proposition remains open. The paper proposes frame-based structures as a design hypothesis for explicit reference, temporal context, provenance and reconstruction, and separates record preservation from semantic interpretation and execution. It defines six testable propositions and outlines a research programme. No new empirical dataset or controlled experiment is reported, and independent peer review is not claimed. The literature review is targeted rather than systematic. A separate appendix contains an interpretive note about the author's stated motivation, explicitly labelled as the interpretation of the K501 assistant rather than an author-written biography or scientific claim.
