Individualized long-acting combined medication with closed-loop management significantly improves blood pressure control and adherence while reducing complications in elderly patients with hypertension.
May support combined regimens in elderly hypertension; leaves open confirmation via randomized trials.
Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of individualized long-acting combined medication combined with closed-loop health management in elderly hypertensive patients, and to provide evidence-based references for optimizing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment strategies for elderly hypertension. Methods:A total of 80 elderly patients with essential hypertension admitted to our hospital from October 2024 to October 2025 were selected and divided into an optimized group and a conventional group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The conventional group received conventional monotherapy or empirical combined medication plus routine follow-up,while the optimized group was treated with individualized combined long-acting preparations combined with full-process closed-loop health management. The medication adherence , blood pressure control compliance rate and incidence of hypertension-related complications within 6 months of follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, the overall medication adherence rate and blood pressure control compliance rate of the optimized group were significantly higher than those of the conventional group(P<0.05),and the total incidence of hypertension-related complications was markedly lower than that of the conventional group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The regimen of individualized combined long-acting preparations combined with closed-loop health management can significantly improve medication adherence and blood pressure control in elderly hypertensive patients, reduce the risk of target organ complications involving the heart, brain, kidney and other organs, and is worthy of promotion and application in refined diagnosis and treatment of elderly hypertension.

Tengteng Song 宋腾腾 (2026) conducted an RCT in essential hypertension (n=80). Individualized combined long-acting preparations with full-process closed-loop health management vs. Conventional monotherapy or empirical combined medication plus routine follow-up was evaluated on Medication adherence, blood pressure control compliance rate, and incidence of hypertension-related complications (p=<0.05). Individualized combined long-acting medication with closed-loop management significantly improved medication adherence, blood pressure control, and reduced complications (P<0.05).
