This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for assessing the efficiency of digital transformation in the education system and proposes an integrated assessment approach based on the previously developed DTMM–Edu (Digital Transformation Maturity Model for Education) conceptual model. The study substantiates the need to assess not only the level of digital maturity but also the practical effectiveness of implemented digital transformation processes. Furthermore, an integrated DTEI (Digital Transformation Efficiency Index) has been developed, encompassing technological, pedagogical, managerial, economic, and social efficiency components. The proposed approach enables the assessment of the digital development level of educational organizations and supports the formulation of strategic management decisions.
