Methane-oxidizing microorganisms mitigate methane emissions in natural and engineered environments. We report 63 metagenome-assembled genomes recovered from methane-fed compost incubations under contrasting moisture and pH conditions, including 62 bacterial metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) and 1 archaeal MAG. The MAGs include methanotrophs and microorganisms involved in complementary carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, and carbohydrate metabolic functions.
