The physico-chemical and performance properties of surfactants obtained by partial hydrophobization of O-(carboxymethyl)cellulose with higher alkylhalogenides (C 10 -C 18 ) were studied. Surface tension, washing performance, antiredeposition efficiency, and emulsifying power were determined. The prepared polymeric surfactants exhibited excellent emulsifying efficiency compared with commercial agents and effective antiredeposition action.
