Acute stroke in a young, healthy individual without any comorbidity is always a challenge to unveil its etiology and determining appropriate treatment. Hence, these set of patients are grouped into cryptogenic category of stroke. This case report of two cases illustrates that the web of the carotid artery is an uncommon cause of stroke which should always be considered and ruled out, especially in these patients. Clinicians should be aware of this condition, which represents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. Carotid web (CW) is a rare condition where a shelf-like projection of intimal fibrous tissue is seen arising from the posterior wall of the carotid bulb. We present two cases of ischemic stroke in young individuals due to CW who were successfully managed with surgical intervention.
