This study examines the representation of love in the film Ku Pilih Jalur Langit through the perspective of cultural da’wah, focusing on the values of mahabbah and the spiritual relationship of the characters. Film is understood as a form of popular culture that not only serves as entertainment but also as a space for meaning-making that contains religious and spiritual values. The aim of this study is to explore how love is represented as a spiritual path and how the characters’ inner transformation is constructed through the film’s narrative. This research employs a qualitative approach using semiotic analysis to interpret signs, symbols, and meanings embedded in film scenes related to love and spirituality. The data were collected through film observation and literature review relevant to da’wah studies, media studies, and Sufism. The analysis focuses on identifying the representation of love, the characters’ emotional conflicts, and the process of spiritual transformation depicted in the narrative. The findings show that the film represents love in two dimensions: worldly love and divine love, which interact within the protagonist’s spiritual journey. Emotional conflict is not merely a dramatic element but serves as a medium for inner transformation toward deeper spiritual awareness. The film also illustrates the internalization of values such as patience, sincerity, and trust in God through emotional experiences rather than explicit doctrinal teaching. In conclusion, Ku Pilih Jalur Langit functions as a form of cultural da’wah that effectively internalizes the value of mahabbah through popular cultural media. Thus, film can serve as a contemporary da’wah medium that reaches a broad audience through emotional, narrative, and symbolic approaches.
